A rejection is not always a spelling judgment
The game checks more than whether a word exists. A correctly spelled English word can use an unavailable letter, join letters on the same side, or fail to continue your chain. Read the displayed reason before searching for a different spelling.
Typing keeps your entry visible when it fails. The game does not silently remove spaces or punctuation and turn your input into another word. Correct the entry and submit it again; a rejection does not increase letter coverage or score.
Check the board constraints in order
These examples use the practice groups RXT / VAI / OCP / ENL.
| Entry | What prevents acceptance? |
|---|---|
| AT | It has fewer than three letters. |
| DOG | D is not on the board. |
| COP | C and O share the bottom side. |
| CARVE after CLOVE | The next word must start with E. |
| CLOVE! | Punctuation is not accepted in a word entry. |

When selecting tiles, an immediate same-side move is blocked and the draft stays unchanged. Typing allows you to finish your entry before Submit explains the first validation issue.
Separate dictionary limits from board errors
Once a word passes the board checks, it must also appear in our word list. The list includes uncommon words and inflections, but it does not contain every English term. A dictionary rejection means this implementation did not recognize the entry; it is not proof that the word is meaningless.
Acceptance can vary between games. Do not assume that a solver result here will be accepted by another publisher’s dictionary. The dictionary methodology identifies the source and explains the checks.
Make a useful correction report
Before reporting a missing word, record its exact spelling and the four side groups. Include the previous word if the disputed entry continues a chain. A dictionary source can help establish the spelling, but it cannot override an illegal move on the board.
Our Contact page identifies the contact setup and information needed for a report. The contact address still requires owner confirmation in this staging version; do not assume a message was sent from the page.
Recover without starting over
Use Delete for the last letter or edit the typed entry directly. Undo reverses the last action, including a submitted word. Restart is useful for a new approach, but it is not necessary just because one candidate failed.
